The odds weren’t in Jennifer Lawrence’s favor when she joined Instagram.
The Hunger Games alum finally launched a verified account on the social media platform, quipping in the description of her newly-minted @jlaw profile that “jenniferlawrence was taken.”
“I cannot really keep up with emails so the idea of Twitter is so unthinkable to me,” she said at the time. “I don’t really understand what it is. It’s like this weird enigma that people talk about. It’s fine. I respect that.”
But that’s not to say the Oscar winner is completely unplugged from the internet.
“I’m on it. But I’m a voyeur: I watch, I don’t speak,” she shared in a 2019 interview with InStyle, per Time. “There is always so much backlash. So many people are listening and paying attention, and they have so many opinions about absolutely everything.”
