Sister Wives’ Kody Brown on Rocky Relationship With His Kids

In fact, the one moment that truly divided him from former bride Christine Brown was when her now-husband David Woolley suggested the people he should be directing his mea culpas to were his 18 children. 
“Start with your kids,” the widower, a father of eight himself, suggested in the December episode. “Show that part. Because the women have moved on, but your kids still need to heal.” 
But Kody wasn’t willing to offer up a salve for those wounds. 
Noting that he’d “set a boundary with his kids and I’m setting that boundary with David and Christine,” Kody explained in a confessional, “My whole purpose here is to apologize to Christine. Not to David. Not to anybody else.” 
Besides, getting into the particulars of his ongoing estrangement with most of the offspring he shares with exes Christine, Meri Brown and Janelle Brown “will bring me back to an angry place.”
