Carrot Top remains at the top of fans’ minds.
The comedian—otherwise known as Scott Thompson—was hospitalized in Las Vegas Sept. 18, according to his rep.
“Mr. Thompson is recovering in the hospital and is receiving the care and support he needs,” rep Jami Schlicher confirmed to Entertainment Weekly Sept. 19. “His family and those closest to him are deeply grateful for the concern, prayers and respectfully ask for privacy.”
While Schlicher did not give a reason for Carrot Top’s hospitalization, she did later provide an update on his health.
“Scott remains hospitalized and under close medical care,” she noted to Page Six Sept. 20. “He is now awake, breathing on his own and continuing to improve, surrounded by his family and those closest to him.”
Noting “humor has always been such an important part of who Scott is and how he connects with people,” Schlicher expressed how “that remains true today as he shares moments of humor with the medical staff caring for him.”
And she said the 61-year-old appreciated all the well-wishes.
