CNBC is investing more heavily in Jim Cramer.
The club, says Cramer during a recent interview, “can fulfill what I feel is my life’s mission, which is to try to help people make money, try to help people learn about investing.” He’s been able to do that with a regular presence on CNBC for about a quarter century, and, he says, “I don’t tire of it.”
“This is very indicative of where media is going,” says KC Sullivan, president of CNBC, during an interview. “It’s about super-serving super-passionate audiences.”
After years spent playing the market, Cramer wants to pass something on to others. “I want to teach about how things really work” he says. “I can pull the curtain away and show what’s really going on.” In doing so, he may offer a few lessons about the future of the media sector as well.
