Zendaya is dusting off her “Dune” boots and getting back into the world of science fiction.

The star has boarded a new untitled sci-fi to be written and directed Alex Garland for A24. Plot details are being kept under wraps, but the feature is set to shoot in 2027.

The project marks the latest collaboration between Zendaya and A24 following hit series “Euphoria,” which concluded after three seasons earlier this year, and the pitch-black dramedy “The Drama” alongside Robert Pattinson, which became a box office hit, earning almost $135 million worldwide.

Alongside “The Drama,” Zendaya has appeared in two of 2026’s biggest movies in “The Odyssey” and “Spider-Man: Brand New Day,” which both smashed box office records. Denis Villeneuve’s final trip to Arrakis, “Dune: Part Three” releases Dec. 16.

Garland’s new sci-fi may push it even further back.
