Oscar Isaac and Elvira Lind don’t have any beef.
But like any other couple, the Frankenstein actor and the Danish filmmaker occasionally have disagreements (including a heated debate on the subway over whether Top Gun: Maverick is a good movie). Unlike Isaac’s Emmy-nominated character in Beef season two, though, they don’t let tensions fester.
“I’m reminded of this fight my wife and I were having in the summer home we have in Denmark,” he explained to The New York Times in April. “It was almost midnight, and I was like, ‘I just need to take a breath.’ I went out, and you could see the Northern Lights and the Milky Way. She comes out, and we just started laughing because you suddenly recognize how small the thing that we’re fighting about is in the grand scope of things.”
This perspective in life is one Isaac and Lind have been reminded of throughout their relationship, which began in 2012 when they met at a party while he was channeling his titular character in Inside Llewyn Davis in preparation for the role.
